Another from 2009: Koru Care New Zealand‘s Kids Christmas Cruise.
Near Christmas each year, Koru Care NZ organises a special day out for kids with terminal illness, permanent disability, or chronic disadvantage (Some suffer all three).
With the help of donations, and amazing support from various volunteers, the kids get to take a spin out on the harbour, and later enjoy a BBQ on a beach near by.
I could never find the words to describe how great this is for the kids.
On this 2009 trip, Fullers Ferry (Who do this every year for them), NZ Police, Ronald McDonald, and a solid squad of minders, all helped make the day a success.
