Morning Daily 078 – EDEN No Numbers Documentary
As part of EDEN’s 2009 “Love Your Body” campaign, the documentary “No Numbers” premièred.
We were treated to an amazing, moving, film experience. The Director, Dena Ashburgh (who appears in the film telling her own story), attended having flown in from Canada for the event. The talented Jay-Jay Feeney MC’d.
From their site: “Not wanting to exploit the spectacle of illness or promote the doom and gloom too often associated with the topic of eating disorders, we wanted to offer a new story, one of hope and possibility.”
EDEN was established in 1990 initially as an agency to provide community based services for people with eating disorders/difficulties. Their focus over the last 19 years has shifted from problem based service provision to prevention and health promotion that recognises the interconnectedness of weight issues in all their forms.
