Another “lucky” moment.
A large fire broke out at a Mitre 10 branch in Auckland, and a friend suggested I head over to practise my event photography.
Armed with my Canon 400D, and a vintage lens, I gave it a shot.
I learned a lot: How to find the “scene”, how to adjust for differences in light, how to not get in the way, and that I needed better lenses.
More importantly, I learned just how far our amazing Fire Service will go trying to save people and property.
