Get to know me a little :)
Hi there! I'm James Hancox :)
I'm a professional photographer based in the stunningly beautiful South Island of New Zealand.
A photographer and creator since 2009, I've also been a computer "geek" since keyboards and screens became a thing.
It's been the greatest pleasure of my life to meet amazing people, beautiful animals, and fascinating machines... then photograph them in some of the most stunning places in New Zealand.

With mobile studio-grade equipment and lighting, the world is my studio.
Whether it's your back yard, or a remote beach, I'm able to travel anywhere to create beautiful images of you and your loved ones, or your business and products.
Shooting in digital medium format, capturing incredible detail and colour, allows me to produce images large enough for high resolution billboards and building signage.
For Charities
What I'm most proud of is my work with charities, as the Founder of "Photographers for Charity".
A donation-free operation, I volunteered my time and skills to help charities with visuals that could attract more donors and supporters, and also to help the terminally ill create precious memories for the families they were leaving behind.
Even if your wallet is light on paper, you might have time and skills to donate instead.
A little pride...
My charitable work has been recognised by TVNZ OneNews in their "Good Sorts" segment (See below), and I was honoured to be nominated in the "Local Hero" category in the "New Zealander of the Year" awards.
I did what I could to help, and learned so much.
